I track AI events the way I track AI tools I review: the ideas that land on these stages usually show up in shipped products six months later. World Summit AI started in Amsterdam in 2017. Ten editions in a category where most conferences fold after two is the receipt that matters here, not the marketing.
The 10th edition anchors a full week, not just two days
Taets Art & Event Park sits on the north bank of the IJ, reachable from Amsterdam Centraal in about 20 minutes by ferry plus bus. The venue has hosted the summit for several editions. Amsterdam Schiphol is a 45-minute train from the city, so getting in from anywhere in Europe is a same-day trip.
October 7-8 anchors World AI Week 2026, which runs Monday October 5 to Friday October 9 as a city-wide programme of founder, investor, and community events. The two-day ticket unlocks a week of surrounding rooms if you plan for it. In my experience covering events at this scale, the fringe rooms produce more usable signal than the main stage.

Most guides treat this as a ticket-only event. You have three other doors.
You can apply to speak through the speaker enquiry form. Pick the summit itself (Oct 7-8) or a fringe event during World AI Week (Oct 5-9). With 300-plus speakers already in the mix, the bar is high. Pitches that land lead with a specific, non-promotional angle, not a product demo dressed up as a talk.

Exhibiting on the expo floor puts you in front of 10,000-plus attendees. Prices are not published and climb as October approaches. For most founders, working the floor as an attendee and booking meetings in advance beats paying for a pod, unless you have a product people genuinely need to see in person.
My honest verdict, from the seat of someone who tests every claim
World Summit AI 2026 is worth it if you are an AI decision-maker, founder, researcher, or investor who needs a dense global signal in one place. It is not worth it if you want hands-on beginner training. This is a strategic and networking room, not a workshop weekend.
The all-in cost is not €899. Add a flight to Amsterdam, two or three nights in a busy-week hotel, and meals: a single attendee should budget €2,000 to €3,000. One serious partnership, one investor conversation, or one strategic pivot pays that back many times over. Walking in hoping to see what is out there does not.
