AWS re:Invent earns that discipline because Bedrock, SageMaker, and the Nova model family get their biggest annual updates here, and those updates show up in production roadmaps within months. The early bird deadline is tomorrow if you are reading this on publish day. That is the single fact worth knowing before anything else on this page.
The dates and venues are the only thing fully locked

A structural change worth flagging: re:Inforce, AWS’s standalone security conference, has folded into re:Invent for 2026. Security content runs all week, with Thursday December 3 set aside as a dedicated security day. If you were planning to send one person to re:Invent and another to re:Inforce, that budget line just consolidated.

The “AI Track” label is wrong and the URL is misleading
AWS does not publish a session catalog with a track literally called “AI Track”. Re:Invent organizes 2,200+ sessions by format (keynotes, breakouts, workshops, chalk talks, code talks, bootcamps) and service category, not by a single AI-labeled track. Anyone quoting an “AI Track agenda” for re:Invent is fabricating a filter that does not exist in AWS’s own catalog.
What does exist is enough AI and machine learning content to fill five days without touching a networking or database talk. Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker AI, Amazon Q, the Nova model family, and the Trainium and Inferentia custom chips all get dedicated announcement slots, breakouts, and hands-on labs. That is functionally an AI track, and this page’s URL uses “ai-track” as shorthand for that cluster. AWS itself never uses the phrase.
Registration pricing that is actually current
Registration is open now and requires an AWS Builder ID, the same personal identity AWS uses across its developer tools, not a one-off event login. Here is what AWS is actually charging for 2026 (checked 2026-08-24, aws.amazon.com/events/reinvent/faqs):

That $1,299 to $2,499 range is worth flagging directly. Several third-party listings, including the previous version of this page, quoted $1,799 to $2,099. Those numbers do not match what AWS is charging. Treat any site still quoting them as working from stale data.
No day passes, no expo-only passes, no AI-specific ticket tier. A full conference pass is required for any session or expo access. You must be at least 18 by the day you pick up your badge. Most re:Invent campus hotels require guests to be 21 or older due to Nevada gaming rules (Treasure Island is the exception). Cancellation is full refund by October 16, 50% refund October 17 to November 23, no refund after November 23.
For teams already committed, register five people before August 25 and the seat-cost swing between early bird and full price is $6,000. That is a spreadsheet decision, not a strategy call.
What 2025 actually shipped (and what 2026 might repeat)
AWS has not published the 2026 keynote speaker, session catalog by topic, or agenda depth. The event catalog opened June 30, 2026 for browsing and favoriting, but reserved seating for hands-on content does not open until later this fall. If a competitor is publishing a “confirmed 2026 AI agenda” this far out, they are guessing.
What shipped at 2025 sets a floor for what 2026 has to match (source: AWS top announcements recap):
- Nova 2 model family: Nova 2 Sonic (speech-to-speech), Nova 2 Lite (fast reasoning, million-token context), Nova 2 Omni (multimodal, preview). Amazon also launched Nova Forge for custom frontier-model training.
- Bedrock: AgentCore added quality evaluations and policy controls. 18 new fully managed open-weight models arrived, including Mistral Large 3 and Ministral 3, plus reinforcement fine-tuning claiming 66% accuracy gains over base.
- SageMaker: serverless MLflow, plus HyperPod checkpointless and elastic training that recovers from failures without job restart.
- Silicon: Trainium3 UltraServers on AWS’s first 3-nanometer AI chip, plus Graviton5.
- AI Factories: fully managed AWS AI infrastructure deployed inside customer data centers, aimed at enterprises with data-residency rules.
AWS CEO Matt Garman keynoted 2024 and 2025. He is the likely 2026 presenter on that two-year pattern, not a confirmed booking. Expecting a Nova 3 generation, more Bedrock agent tooling, and next-gen Trainium is a defensible bet. Treating it as a leaked roadmap is not.
My buy or skip take
For AWS-native AI and ML teams: attend, and register before August 25. Re:Invent is where Bedrock, SageMaker, and Nova get their real annual updates, and 2025’s announcement volume shows AWS is still treating this as its flagship AI moment. The $1,299 seat is a defensible line item. The $2,499 seat is a judgment call.
For teams with no AWS footprint: skip the trip and watch the free livestream when registration opens later this year. The AI content is genuinely deep here, but the depth is AWS-native. Bedrock agent patterns and HyperPod tricks do not transfer to a different cloud stack. You get the keynote from your desk.
