About StackVerdict
Honest AI tool deals and reviews, built on hands-on testing with our own money.
What is StackVerdict?
StackVerdict is an independent AI and software research, review and discovery platform built around hands-on testing, source data and transparent verdicts. Every listing on this site is hands-on tested with our own money, and every verdict comes with the reasoning behind it.
The site covers four core surfaces: AI deals and lifetime offers, individual tool reviews with honest verdicts, curated best-of lists by use case, and 109 AI affiliate programs with commission rates, cookie durations, and an earnings calculator on every listing.
There is a second, smaller side aimed at the founders who build the tools we review. StackVerdict runs the discovery surfaces itself: tool listings, affiliate-program visibility, the directory database, and founder interviews.
What StackVerdict is not is an SEO agency or a consulting shop.
Why StackVerdict Exists
After buying 500+ SaaS tools and getting burned by overhyped lifetime deals more times than I'd like to admit, I started documenting what actually works - and what doesn't. StackVerdict is that documentation, made public.
I don't hide failures. I've publicly documented my own site traffic drops, topical drift mistakes, and recovery processes. Transparency isn't a marketing angle here - it's the point.
Editorial Standards
- Hands-on testing required. No tool gets a verdict before I've used it on a real project.
- Affiliate disclosure on every page. Where I earn a commission, it's stated up front in the page footer.
- Independent verdicts. The verdict, the pros and cons, and the list position are decided by hands-on testing — a brand cannot buy a better rating or a takedown of an honest criticism.
- Sources cited. Pricing, ratings, and feature claims link out to the original source.
- Updates dated. When pricing or features change, the listing gets updated and the change is logged.
The Review Process
- Sign up and test hands-on. Real account, real workflow, real project - usually for at least 2-4 weeks before publishing.
- Compare against alternatives. Side-by-side pricing and feature tables, not vague mentions.
- Lead with limitations. What's missing and who should skip comes before what's good.
- Give a clear verdict. An honest verdict with specific reasoning for specific audiences.
- Cite sources. Every claim backed by links to official pricing pages, G2 / Capterra reviews, and independent sources.

How to Get Featured on StackVerdict
A quick note on how this works, because it runs differently from most submission processes.
Not every AI tool gets selected. Every submission goes through a first round of inspection before anything is published. We look at what the tool actually does, whether it works, and whether it's a fit for our audience of AI buyers. Most tools do not make it past that first round — and there's no timeline or guarantee that yours will.
We don't list every AI tool. We feature a selected few that we actively review and put real promotion behind.
What Selected Products Get
If your product makes it through inspection, we don't just add a line to a directory. We give it the best possible exposure in front of active AI buyers so it drives real sign-ups and sales:
- A hands-on prompted review. We test the tool ourselves and publish a full, honest review that potential buyers actually read before they purchase.
- A spot in the relevant best-of guide. Inclusion in the "Best AI tools" guide for your category, where high-intent buyers come to choose what to buy.
The goal is simple: put your product in front of the right people, at the moment they're deciding what to buy, with coverage they trust — the kind of exposure that turns into sales.
I have partnered with brands like Semrush, Surfer, Snov, Cloudways, Brizy, Surfshark, and TechSmith, and I am an official media partner for DeveloperWeek, API World, AI Dev Summit, WordCamp, and more.
How StackVerdict Benefits Users
- No fake urgency, no overnight promises. Every "deal of the year" claim gets fact-checked against historical pricing before it goes live.
- Honest verdicts. Clear, opinionated guidance instead of fence-sitting "it depends" reviews.
- Lead with limitations. Every review starts with what's missing and who should skip - so you can self-disqualify in 30 seconds if it's not for you.
- Real earnings math on every affiliate program. Commission rate, plan price, and an interactive calculator so you know what a referral is actually worth before you sign up.
- Cited sources, public data. Pricing, G2 ratings, and feature comparisons link out to official pages - not just a "trust me" claim.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does StackVerdict rank and test AI tools?
Every tool is installed and used in a real project for three to ten hours before a verdict is given. We document limitations as we hit them, compare the tool against its main alternatives, and assign a clear verdict with the reasoning written out. Rankings are never influenced by payment or affiliate relationships.
What is an AI directory?
An AI directory is a curated catalog of AI tools, organised by use case, that helps buyers discover and compare options before purchasing or signing up. Most AI directories are listing-only and aggregate vendor marketing pages without testing the tools. StackVerdict is different in two ways: every AI tool we review has been hands-on tested by StackVerdict with an honest verdict, and our ranked reports are built from primary data rather than vendor claims - 163 MCP servers, 119 WordPress AI plugins, 133 Chrome extensions, 89 Firefox add-ons, and 300 Hugging Face models, each re-fetched and re-scored from source.
How is the StackVerdict AI directory different from Futurepedia or There's An AI For That?
Three differences. First, hands-on testing: every tool listed has been used in a real workflow before publishing, while Futurepedia and There's An AI For That aggregate vendor descriptions without testing. Second, verdicts: every tool gets an honest rating with stated reasoning. Third, vendor stability tracking: we flag tools whose vendors have stopped shipping updates or fail support-response tests. The trade-off is a smaller catalog, 67 written reviews out of 500+ tools tested rather than thousands of untouched listings, but every one is something someone actually used.
Do you get paid to feature certain AI tools?
Not for a verdict or a ranking. Brands can pay for clearly labeled sponsorship, production, or distribution. Payment never buys a positive verdict, a higher editorial ranking, or a recommendation, and sponsored placements are always separated from organic rankings and labeled where they appear. In practice that means four revenue sources, all disclosed: affiliate links, which pay us a commission at no extra cost to you and regularly sit on tools we gave a Skip verdict; a single labeled Featured Listing slot above the AI affiliate programs directory, which does not move a program up the commission-rate sort or into any best-of bucket; paid production services for founders, such as a hands-on video review, where the verdict in the video stays ours to write; and OUTBID AI, a standalone sponsored leaderboard where the ranking is openly for sale and is kept off every editorial page. No brand can pay to be reviewed positively, to rank higher in a best-of list, or to have a competitor removed.
What is OUTBID AI, the pay-to-rank leaderboard?
OUTBID AI is a side experiment at StackVerdict/outbid: a pay-what-you-want leaderboard for AI tools where the ranking is exactly what people pay. Anyone can list an AI tool, agent, app or startup from a URL, bid any amount from $1, and take the rank their bid buys on the all-time board. Every listing includes a labelled sponsored link (rel="sponsored") from StackVerdict plus analytics on impressions, clicks, audience and countries. It is walled off from the rest of the site on purpose. Positions there are bought and labelled as bought, and no bid buys a review, a verdict, or a place in a best-of list on StackVerdict.
Does StackVerdict cover AI conferences and events?
Yes. The AI Events page covers major AI conferences, summits, and meetups for 2026 - from NeurIPS and ICML to Web Summit and the AI Summit series. Each event includes an honest take on who should attend, who should skip it, pricing, and practical details.
Can I request a review of a specific AI tool or deal?
Yes. Use the Submit AI Tool page to suggest a tool or deal. We prioritise tools with active lifetime deals or significant community interest. Submitting a tool does not guarantee a positive verdict - every review is independent.
Who is StackVerdict for?
Mainly AI tool buyers. If you are choosing an AI tool, StackVerdict is where you find the ones worth your time: 67 hands-on reviews with honest verdicts, 25 best-of lists by use case, data-backed rankings built from source data rather than vendor claims, verified deals, and the conferences worth attending. There is a second, smaller side: if you build AI tools, StackVerdict runs discovery surfaces - tool listings, affiliate-program visibility, the SaaS directories database, and founder interviews.
What does StackVerdict offer AI SaaS founders?
The founder-side surfaces are built around discovery and distribution: tool listings, affiliate-program visibility, the SaaS directories database, and founder interviews.
