The one badge that covers three conferences is the real product
I track developer conferences because the tools people demo in February show up in the reviews I publish here three to six months later. DeveloperWeek 2027 is one of the earliest tells for what production tooling ships in the rest of the year.
The pricing math on DeveloperWeek 2027 has one wrinkle most attendees miss. A single badge covers DeveloperWeek plus ProductWorld 2027, plus AI DevWorld, plus DevExec World for engineering managers. That is four programmes at one venue on the same three days. Gen AI and LLMs is the first one to plan around: it graduated from a single session topic in earlier editions to a first-class track with content every day, covering LLM deployment patterns, RAG at scale, agentic architectures, model evaluation in production, and multi-model cost routing.
Platform Engineering and Developer Experience (DX) sit next in the priority order for most production engineers, with sessions on internal developer platforms, golden paths, DX metrics, and AI-assisted development workflows. Developer Tools, DevOps, and Data Engineering cover the day-to-day toolchain, from code generation to CI/CD to lakehouse patterns. APIs and Microservices sits at the crossover with APIWorld content.
Mobile Dev, Enterprise, Open Source Strategy, Blockchain and Web3, Dev Career, and Technical Leadership and Management round out the 13. The Technical Leadership track is worth flagging for engineering managers and directors: it is one of the few live venues that runs full days of team-structure, hiring, and build-versus-buy content alongside the hands-on tracks.
For AI engineers specifically, the highest-density day is usually Wednesday, when the Gen AI and LLMs track overlaps with Platform Engineering and Data Engineering sessions on infrastructure. The full 2027 agenda lands on the official agenda page six to eight weeks before the event.

Santa Clara Convention Center and getting there
The venue sits at 5,001 Great America Parkway, Santa Clara, CA 95054, about 7 miles north of downtown San Jose and 45 miles south of San Francisco. San Jose International (SJC) is 3 miles from the convention centre with Uber and Lyft in the $10 to $20 range. San Francisco International (SFO) is 30 miles north, 35 to 50 minutes by car depending on traffic, or 60 to 90 minutes via Caltrain.
Hotels in the immediate corridor (Santa Clara Marriott, Hyatt Regency Santa Clara, Avatar Hotel, Hilton, Embassy Suites) run $250 to $450 per night in early February. Who this trip is worth for
Attend if you write production code and ship AI-powered features, if you lead an engineering team, or if you sell developer tools or AI infrastructure into engineering buyers. The Gen AI and LLMs track alone justifies the ticket if you build with LLMs in production, and the four-conference bundle stacks the hallway conversations in ways a single-vendor event (AWS re:Invent, Microsoft Build, Google Cloud Next) does not.
Skip if your interest is academic AI research. NeurIPS, ICML, and ICLR serve that audience better. Skip if you are running a very early-stage startup with no shipped engineering work yet, since the cost-to-value math flips against you until you have production systems to make decisions about.
The realistic take-home from three days: 8 to 12 production techniques you can implement in the next quarter, three to five vendor evaluations completed on the expo floor, and 40 to 60 new contacts in the developer and AI engineering ecosystem. If you net even half of that, the ticket pays for itself.
For AI tool discovery outside of the conference cycle, the current AI tool lifetime deals tend to fill the gap between events when new tools launch with introductory pricing.
